Overview

The Customer Success Dashboard is your primary workspace in HubSpot. It provides quick access to your optimization and onboarding tasks, projects, and daily workload. Set this as your home page in HubSpot settings to streamline your daily workflow.


 

Summary Tab

Your quick snapshot for the day:

  • Today's Tasks - All tasks due today
  • Overdue Tasks - Tasks past their due date
  • Tomorrow's Tasks - Preview of upcoming work

Best for: Quick morning check-in to understand your workload at a glance

Actions Tab

In-depth task management with filtered views:

  • Due Today
  • This Week
  • Next Week
  • Overdue
  • All Tasks

Key Feature: "Start All Tasks" button launches a sequential workflow to complete multiple tasks in one session. Use the Progress dropdown to skip ahead to specific tasks.

Best for: Managing your task queue and batch-completing similar work

Dashboard Tab

Custom reporting views beyond the default task filters. Available views are configured based on team needs.

Best for: Tracking workload patterns and project metrics


Common Workflows

Starting Your Day

  1. Click the HubSpot logo to navigate to Customer Success Dashboard
  2. Review Summary Tab to understand today's workload
  3. Navigate to Actions Tab to begin working through tasks
  4. Either work sequentially using "Start All Tasks" or click individual projects

Completing Optimizations

  1. From Actions Tab, select your optimization task
  2. Click into the project record
  3. Complete optimization work in the advertising platform
  4. Return to HubSpot to document work via the Optimization Notes playbook
  5. Adjust pipeline stage if changing cadence (before completing task)
  6. Mark task complete to generate next optimization

Managing Onboarding Builds

  1. On-Boarding Project tasks appear in your task queue when assigned
  2. Complete pre-intake tasks (optional based on bandwidth)
  3. Review post-intake notes before beginning build
  4. Complete build tasks in the advertising platform
  5. Return to project to submit build notes and change Build Review Status

Quick Tips

Set Your Home Page: Navigate to Settings → General → Your Preferences → Default and select "Customer Success" as your home page. The HubSpot logo becomes your home button.

Filter Strategically: Use the Actions Tab filters to focus on specific timeframes. The "This Week" view helps with weekly planning.

Batch Similar Work: Group similar optimization types together using the task queue to maximize efficiency.

Check Overdue Daily: Clear your overdue queue each morning to prevent work from slipping through the cracks.

Use Task Priorities: When multiple tasks are due, sort by priority to tackle high-impact work first.


Accessing Projects Directly

If you need to access a project outside your task queue:

  1. Click CRM in left navigation
  2. Select Projects
  3. Use the search bar or filter views to find your project
  4. Consider bookmarking frequently accessed project views
